In this chapter Hashirama stated that other countries began following the Villiage system after Madara left the village. So when the hell did Madara fight Muu and Ohnoki? I assume it was sometime after Hashirama became hokage since Madara was still in the village for a time so it would make sense for him to be wearing a headband still but there is still no other hidden village that existed until after Madara left.

As it was stated, it could have been a splitting-body technique. When Hashirama was taming Kyuubi Madara had perfect opportunity to split himself into 2 bodies, that would be one guess. However, it seems like there was a large portion of battle cut out from the moment when Hashirama landed before Madara bcs at that time theyre armores were in tact and then suddenly they were all torn up.

It also seems that Kishimoto is planning to keep Madaras MS jutsus a “question mark” for the time being. He could have shown something else beside Susanoo in these flashbacks, which is very strange that he didnt. Now we do not know if he had the same “set” as Itachi/Sasuke or a different type like Obito. I think Tsukyiomi and Susanoo are a given, but then there should be 2 other. Maybe one of those MS jutsus has something to do with how he survived. Anyhow, Im pretty sure he doesnt have Amaterasu bcs it would be a very powerfull weapon against Hashiramas wooden jutsus.

Both Tobirama and Madara had reasons for what they did, but the truth is that Madara was more righteous of the two. Madara couldn’t believe and trust Tobirama, since there was evidence that he was plotting against the Uchiha and even Hashirama kknew it. While Tobirama couldn’t believe and trust Madara, who was Hashirama’s friend, who put his complete trust in Hashirama after testing him once, without the need to fulfill his demands, simply because of the possibility that they might once get out of control. So, we have Madara that did what he did, because Tobirama was doing something, while Tobirma did what he did, because the Uchiha could have done something in the future.
